Secret Places and Hidden Retreats are only as secret and hidden as people make them. On the one hand those who perpetuate a Secret or Hidden Place are usually under the impression that they have some knowledge to protect, or, on the other hand, they fear that others might come to know what they are doing – whilst, again, a Hidden Retreat might be necessary as a protection from local religious or political bias.
Truth, for Itself, has no need of protection because those who have not lived by Its principles to gain an understanding of life will fail to see what life is all about, therefore, because of Its very nature, they cannot misuse It either. Anyone with an understanding of Divine Logic will see what we mean. That which is termed “the misuse of power” or the “powers that be” is an illusion only. All one does in these cases is to misuse himself because all men suffer by their own hands. If one believes that true “occult powers” can be misused or used for one’s own ends he finally falls under a greater illusion and the “ends” are his own and nobody else’s.
Many fallacies are preached in present-day occultism so it is now very necessary that the “before” genuine secret schools declare themselves. The fullfillment of Christ’s prophecy is that He is to be found no longer in these places but only in the hearts and minds of Man himself. This is the only Real and Valid Secret Place.
God brought His creation into being from within Himself and His very nature and essence is infused into it. One could liken it to a massive machine that has been programmed to maintain itself. The parts of the machine are the intelligent beings, which are also symbols of His own Consciousness and who represent the integral pieces of the Whole Manifestation. That is, we have God who is transcendent, omnipotent and complete within Himself, yet radiating His own vibrant life energy to perpetuate the machine He created. Thus, God is the First Cause and His creation is Him in activity, and Man, being created in His own image, is constructed in the same way, as we have pointed out several times before. So, the more that Man sees to it that a conscious harmony is maintained within himself, so will this harmony be projected or radiated into his own area of experience as an individual.
Now in this great Cosmic Machine there is a built in protective element which ensures that no errors occur in the transmitting of true knowledge to the farthest outreaches of the machine. In other words, a certain “cog” within the machine – represented by certain intelligences – acts as a “governer” so that a correct balance is maintained throughout. These intelligences have been referred to as the “wanderers” or “The Goodly Company”. It is because of these beings that we always have the very apex of the Cosmic Hierarchy with us in the world of sensory experience to be available to act as mentors when required, and “Students of the Light” can come to know these beings as helpers to their approach to the realisation of Man’s true nature.
The time is rapidly approaching when “humans” will no longer require the help of these beings because they will be in a position to acquire this knowledge for themselves thus making secret schools and teachers unnecessary.
These beings who have incarnated many times and used different names as vehicles help one to understand what we have said before on the subject of reincarnation.
Such names as Melchisedek, Jesus, Moses etc. – and even Elade – are mere labels; the actual entity bears no specific label or name, so you see that those people who claim to be in touch with, say, Jesus are referring to a concept only. The actual entity is, more likely than not, using another label or name at this point in time to perpetuate some branch of the work. For example, let us say that “Moses” is working here on the Earth. He may now be known as “John Brown”, and “Moses” will mean nothing to him as such. Thus, when some person claims to be receiving “messages” from, say, Moses, this is an impossibility since that name is only a shadow or a mask for some unknown entity behind it. This error is very widespread today, for how many are claiming to be in touch with this or that mask?
Elade, then, is also a nonentity – just a name being used at this time because I have been here many times before, and this is true of yourselves. Thus, from my own point of view, you are one with me in the Great Consciousness. Because we all live within this area of the One Consciousness we all have equal access to the glories and the knowledge. God is no respecter of persons; these are merely forms perpetuated at all phases of creation for the Divine Experience of Himself, and we all share in this experience. This is the great “Mystery of the Mysteries”, and when we come to understand this we become our own Master Teacher and a partaker of a more efficient activity.
In the light of this information the Hierarchy itself will become a myth because when every man is able to acquire his own knowledge direct from the Source the function of the Hierarchy will cease in its present form. Even as it is now that every unit is an important part of the vast creation, then it will be that each unit will bear its own burden and function in the way it was destined to. This means, in other words, that everyone will accept his position however seemingly unimportant it might appear. Everyone then will be, from a point of classification, of the same “grade” as a true initiate who fully understands the words uttered by the Christ on the “cross”: “Eloi, Eloi, Luana Shabachthani”, which, correctly translated, means, “My God, My God, for this cause was I kept,” or “for this purpose was I born”.
An interesting diversion is presented here by this incident on the cross. It was about the “ninth hour”, which represents the fullfillment of a complete cycle of manhood. The Bible says that here “He gave up the ghost”. Now he could not have “died” on the cross because He Himself has said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” and “This is Life Eternal”, and if this is truly Eternal Life, there cannot be a break for death! In this situation then we should refer to the point where He “Gave up the ghost”. In the present understanding, a ghost is a phantom, a nonentity, a thing of non-reality. So we take it that at the “ninth hour” He completely surrendered to His Spirit and ceased His cycle of reliance on the evidence of the world of effects. The cause for which He was kept was to act as an outward symbol of the way that humanity should follow to obtain its own release, and because He had played out the popular symbols it became unnecessary to follow the way of the cross of suffering. He came, as he said, that we might Live. Thus, our answers lie in the Reality of living in His Fullness at this point in time and space. We do not have to dwell on those things which man produces for himself for they are transient – mere ghosts. Our lives should be lived in the knowledge that the Wholeness is in effect already if we could but prove it out.
There are groups which claim to be in touch with beings from other planets and receiving messages from Masters on Mars or Venus. There is, also, a widespread interest in flying saucers and U.F.O.’s. Another group is claiming to be receiving messages from the Master Jesus as well as believing that they can “charge” some of the Earth’s geological structures with “spiritual power”. All this presents a very confusing picture of the so-called “occult” or “metaphysical” world to sincere seekers. In fact, that which is termed the “occult” or the “metaphysical” has developed so many way-out sects and cults that real answers have become difficult to find.
The material sciences are also working together to find out whether or not life exists on other planets, and radio messages are being transmitted to stars in the hope that they will be picked up by other intelligent beings who may be out there.
To some, these “space visitors” are physical beings from physical space-ships; to others, they are “spiritual” or “psychic” beings having unusual powers to walk through walls and to convey messages to a listening audience by means of “voice transmission”.
Flying saucers, masters from space, strange religions – suddenly people are believing in an impending disaster and the dawning of a new age. What is true and what is false?
From the point of view of the material sciences, the time taken to send messages to and from even the nearest star takes so long as to be almost impossible until new techniques are discovered. They can only pick out areas at random not knowing precisely where to begin to make contacts. A few others are so confident of their contacts with “space masters” and “spaceships” by “psychic” means that they claim to be giving “advanced teachings” from these sources. Yet, if one takes the trouble to do a little research into all this teaching, it can be found in material already to hand in certain quarters. Why must these “superior beings” repeat the teachings of those who have already been with us in the flesh? They do not tell us anything new. In this light, it would appear that they do not really exist, except in the minds of those who make the claims.
We ourselves have spoken of the Hierarchy and of beings on other planes, and we have said that it is possible to experience the other planets or spheres within our system. We have also made it clear that the Reality can be experienced only from within. All evidence coming via the senses is subject to your own assessment or conception of it. Therefore all the teachings, space masters, U.F.O.’s and planets are things appearing in the area of the senses, and one build theories around them to satisfy his own hopes and desires believing that there is no true evidence which might shatter such grandiose illusions.
Let us consider this: everything out there in “space” is, actually, a form corresponding to a thought or energy from within the area of the Self, and the experiences we have in relation to these depend upon our actions or reactions. How does an abstract idea present itself in concrete experience? Individually some kinds of music, certain flowers or friends constitute forms of joy or pleasure. We could say then that “Joy” was the fulfilment experienced by the participation in the manifestation or activity of its abstract counterpart. Thus, while we speak of the Reality being formless, we, as individuals, give it form by the act of participation, or by enjoying it at this level. Again, the Reality contains the essence of all things which makes it possible for us to consummate them in actual experience in the flesh. To experience Wholeness and Perfection in our lives here and now means that we collate at that which constitutes our conception of them according to our understanding and live them out in form. This is control of the Real, and our destiny becomes that of which we have dreamed. Thoughts and words are then realities to us, and we understand what is meant by “In the beginning was the Word….” (St John’s Gospel). At the same time, when we think of other areas of time and space we are, at the same instant, in tune with them. We are the very Universe itself and the Universe is ourselves. We are in contact with every intelligent unit within the Universe because they form our own expanded awareness. Just as you are now reading this, it is Elade’s contact with himself at your point of experience, and you are in contact with him as yourself in the Whole Consciousness which you really are.
When you catch a glimpse of this you step into a region of Real Power because you know that you are the centre of all things, and all things are centred in you. All that remains now is, are you in command? Remember – all that is out there is only the form of what is within, and this within is our four-dimensional City of the New Jerusalem where Melchisedek is both Priest and King.
Now you should be able to see that all this talk about Masters, space-ships and U.F.O.’s is, in truth, all about forms manifested within the area of illusion or sense-perception.
Because at this time these things possess no physical reality it throws doubt upon those who claim to have had trips in “flying saucers”, for a physical body cannot be transported in a vehicle composed of a different kind of matter. Even in our world one cannot sit on a cloud.
There are also those who believe that every statement in the Bible which refers to the Seraphim or other things in the sky is actually a reference to “space-ships”, and all their interpretations revolve around this belief. As far as charging our geological structures with “spiritual power” is concerned, our Sun is continually doing this for us, and should it cease for one moment we would not survive. All energy from our Sun is indeed spiritual and, therefore, everywhere is already “Holy” so no being can make anything holy or spiritual because it already is.
There are many misguided groups with teachers who divide God up into little pieces and take up these pieces and apply the importance to themselves. In truth no-one can add or take away from that which is already complete within itself. For, as we have said, if only some parts of our Earth are “spiritually charged” while others are not, then God must be missing out somewhere.
It is not nature that needs to be informed, but the millions of souls who need to be awakened to their own inherent potentials.
