There are those of you who visualise starting your own group and others with visions of wonderful communities – possessing a seat of learning based upon an interplay of the varied fields of knowledge, both philosophic and scientific; but let us warn you – such ideals can become a millstone around your neck because the community or group starts from within one’s self and what is more, in this present age, the other fields of knowledge are available to anyone for the seeking. Whilst you maintain an ideal or concept in the world of effects – or work towards “forms” with things of the spirit you will fail. How are you to know how the will of God will take form through man? and who are you to place a boundary on a group or community? This is why so many efforts in the past have failed. A vision of the form limits the one concerned to the breadth of his visions and he remains a slave to his own creation.
One cannot “achieve” such ends in this “new age”. Concepts are changing and new horizons appearing. One’s vision must fail if they are based upon past concepts and ideas which have failed in the past or are now dissolving.
Groups and communities will grow if allowed to through the aligned responses of those concerned – without appeal for their help or material support. If you remain in tune with the One the pattern must finally emerge. If people need to be appealed to the responses are not in line indicating that they are not yet “ready”, as it were, for such fulfilments. We can only have, in measure, that fulfilled which is equal to that capacity established within us! Thus, if one finds circumstances difficult he is not fully aware of the true nature of the Real. What is the use of a burnt-out body or a tired mind spent through the motives of the sense perception when all that is coming to pass must finally come to pass in due time when the instrument is right. If you, the reader, believe that you are an instrument of truth and light then BE THAT – the essence will take form of itself – IT will move you and direct your steps. Be not concerned with the “object” – to you – that is in the future. You cannot live in the future since you are continually in the NOW. We have to learn to let things grow – to allow the “object” of our love to go its own way. We cannot possess it. If, therefore, a group or community becomes a love or an object of love we fall for the form and not for the essence. Be not concerned with the DOING as you should be with the BE-ING. Do-ing is contained in the be-ing. In other words, you ARE doing BY being.
Let us explain a little of what a “group”, “conclave” or society should be. It has been the practice to define an individual as a “twelve-point” form (such as in astrology and the mystical sciences) meaning that a human possesses twelve facets to his nature – like a dodecahedron. Now where a greater awareness of one-ness is desired the load of one facet alone is taken by each individual within the group so that now instead of one member reflecting say twelve facets himself, the twelve is shared by the whole. Thus each individual becomes One facet of himself – each a different type. It becomes, as it were, that each member becomes the “mouthpiece” of his own particular realm of knowledge. By this, it can be seen that awareness is “stepped-up” twelvefold where the said group live to the true principles of Truth and Reality. Now the mystery of the “thirteenth” is this that the leader, or teacher, of the group must be one who is fully awakened. A true teacher acts as the link between the seen and the unseen and his word must be adhered to on all points of the group. Thus, he alone stands as the ONE in relation to each member, or facet. This does not appear “democratic” in the sense that all are “free” within the group but, nevertheless, this the kind of “freedom” which all men seek.
In this light if you have a “frustrated” leader you will have a frustrated group. A “hard-worked” leader, a hard-worked group. A “hard-up” leader, a hard-up group and so on. You should know the desirable position!
We are often reminding you to put complete faith in the outworking of Divine experiences in all your affairs so, maybe, some of you are asking “What are these experiences and how can we have faith in something beyond our comprehension?”
The Perfect Life, in relation to man, works out in his affairs of whatever sort – provided that, in the individual as well as the community, the Sacred Law is being honoured. This power touches the immediate family, one’s job or profession, enjoyment and contacts with one’s fellows. In cases where “trouble” appears to present itself, such as illness, lack of necessities and strife, the power of God will make Itself manifest even in the blackest hour of sensual evidence.
The power which moves us upholds our universe, supports the myriads of forms of manifested life, stays the planets in their courses and performs Its activities in due times. Man’s faith shudders and quakes when he thinks affairs should work out according to how he sees them and so he under estimates the Great Intelligence. Man was created to the purpose that he might express fully the nature and qualities of that which brought him forth. In very Truth man is the fullness of the Godhead working out in this particular domain or sphere of Divine Activity. This means that man is very God at this level which we call Man. In this knowledge Jesus was able to say, as the embodiment of the Christ, “When ye have seen me, ye have seen the Father”, and again, “I and my Father are one”. Not in form or body but in the Pure Spirit which expressed through Him. Jesus looked the same as any other human – a head, eyes, mouth, ears, arms and legs – this is the form only. The Christ or Son nature which animated that form was something greater – something which could not be measured – something which could not be understood if He was regarded as a human. He portrayed and taught His immortality and continually brought our attention to the fact that we were one with Him. To miss this important point has been the downfall of the established religion. We are the same as He was and in Truth still are – if we believe Him to be any different from us then all His teaching is lies.
Man, acting in the guise of human beings (forgetting that he is a Divine being) continues to hoodwink himself by believing that he can make himself more “spiritual” or “godly” by meditating, dieting or fasting, praying and hosts of other things. This all occurs because he has a false illusion of himself and cannot seem to realise that he IS all the time that which he is trying to convince himself of.
If we take a look back in human history things haven’t changed much. The wars, disease and poverty has been remarkable evidence of human inability to change themselves or their circumstances. Leaders of all shades have risen and fallen. Great plans for better circumstances have been created – yet humans continue to suffer, continue to fight and continue to dream of a heaven on earth. Who has succeeded? Certainly no human! There are missionaries, doctors and priests yet the growing numbers of materialists, sick and psychological cases prove statistics wrong. The evidence of man’s career as human beings should be sufficient proof for our point. Man in God’s image, which is his true nature is as St. Paul put it “..the same yesterday, today and forever”.
Each day some new barrier is erected in some new theory, some new “discovery”. Each new “discovery” supposedly helps one to discover what he should not be discovering and leads him away from that which he is intended to discover.
Most of the “spiritual” knowledge absorbed by students can be found in books or lecture-lessons given by some society – even these which you are now reading. We are not telling you something “new” at this time; but yet there is something “New” – an entirely “New” concept and awareness ready to be awakened in man. Unless, however, man can forget all he has ever learned (that is – give up) in the most advanced fields of religious systems, magic or other system or teaching he cannot become aware of this “New” glory which awaits him. We have glimpsed this wonderful light and want to share it with you if you can take it. The first step towards this is as we have mentioned. Whilst many of you have had beautiful experiences by using the present known teachings that are contained in Christianity, Buddhism, Sufism, Hinduism, Magic, the Kabbala and the rest we cannot take you one step farther into that which is yet unborn within you whilst you cling to these.
As an example many students have followed some system of teaching and have found that no matter what knowledge they have gained or what experiences they have had that it has all been the “normal” pattern in these matters. Whatever great self-discovery has been made, the same can be found somewhere written on rare documents or in the conscious knowledge in the minds of the well experienced – and so it goes on.
And now, just as in Jeshu’s time, the Hierophants and Archons of the mysteries, with all their knowledge, misunderstood Him – so too in like manner will they misunderstand us. Whatever has been built up in this world of effects must perish. Whatever is already known, whatever beautiful memories one has must fade away giving way to the “New”. We have no other term for this as yet. We could not describe this “New Light” on paper; but as all things must come to pass through the working out of “time and space” in the realm of concrete experience so in the lives of those prepared ones will this take form.
Are you ready to step with us into that which is to you now unknown. To go ever onwards through the worlds of the Gods who eagerly await your presence in their midst. This is no idle boast, no fantastic dream; but the answer to the desires of all those who have waited.
