We would like to point out that many students misunderstand our meaning of Peace, Harmony and Wholeness.
We have tried to help you to realise that these qualities are, potentially, within man himself.
This means that they do not relate to conditions in the world of effects or outworking of energies. The manifested world is always in a state of change and therefore a kind of turmoil will – more or less – continually be witnessed. When we place ourselves at mid-point between that which is true of ourselves and that which we witness through the senses – we, ourselves, remain un-moved, or affected, by the events. Thus, whilst participating in our obligations to our fellows we experience this peace within ourselves – even though a war is raging in the realm of activity. This powerful state of mind which becomes at one with the nature of the Whole provides the necessary impulses of whatever sort to the one concerned which will bring his “good” into effect. When a person has learned to discipline himself correctly he can have this state of mind as a reality in his world of events also. Whilst this state of harmony cannot be experienced by the masses at the moment because of their wrong attitudes and false philosophies it remains for the “few”, for the time being, to maintain the bridge between the seemingly two aspects until such a time as the “flood” breaks through to this level of experience – which is the world.
Let us take a look at the situation from within the very source of our existence itself. From a “time and space” concept – the radiations which maintain all the activity within our solar system are produced by a threefold process taking place within the “core” – and it is from this series of reactions that stems the existence of everything, from the least to the greatest in our system. Again, our own solar system is only one small one in a family of thousands. So marvellous are the intricate systems of varied life forms and patterns that one cannot fail to realise the great Intelligence operating or manipulating these wonderful schemes. We are aware of but little of the magnificent Cosmic Glory and our senses can offer us no more than a peep through a pinhole.
Even the leading scientists of the day are pausing to consider what lies beyond the physical aspects of “matter”. The secret cannot be discovered in the laboratories or atomic reactors. All that one can witness by instruments is an already established intelligent pattern governed by something we simply call “laws”. The more one learns the facts of natural history and biology the more one should be convinced of a governing intelligence – although there are those who can see no further than a system of biological function and it is these ones who dabble and cause the havoc in nature’s system from an ecological sense. To comprehend from facts and figures what lies outside of our own solar system is an impossibility until one understands the workings of our own great family – Our Father the Sun and His offspring. He who has marvellously fashioned the planets which rotate with clockwork precision along their given orbits. The wisdom and intelligence shown in providing a “check-wheel”, the moon, to prevent us dashing headlong out of line – and most interesting of all – human beings who like to investigate all these things.
“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?” wrote the psalmist (Psalm 8). Is man an intelligent animal, or what? Throughout the Holy Bible ancient truths are revealed. The knowledge contained therein is not factual history as such – for ask any historian and he will tell you that events do not coincide with known dates. The compilers of these writings used “historical” events to point out certain principles – in fact they used them as allegories.
We can gather from the information collated that Man represents the highest peak in the process of creation – therefore this Father of ours must have a very intimate interest in us because we are “something special”.
When one considers the vastness of our own tiny solar system against one man in the form of a human – our belief in such a fantastic idea could be shattered. Nevertheless, this is what the mysteries of life are about and whilst humans continue to believe fantastic stories and teachings that contain no real truth or practical value he misses out in the seeming fantastic that is really true because he is too lazy to submit to any kind of discipline. Playing around with meditation, rituals etc., is the kindergarten. Accept the “strong meat” and grow up. That which is experienced during these short periods is brief and does not give any lasting effect in the lives of those who practice these systems. The fact is that one tends to rely on the forms and not the fulfilment in time and space. When the real teaching is put into practice the adherent comes to realise that the states sought for in meditation and ritual are already established states that can be experienced anytime with the right attitudes. The pure life force begins, immediately, to recreate harmonious conditions in health and affairs when the right attitude is taken. It becomes not a matter of black or white, violence and non-violence, action or reaction – but a state of being still and knowing that the greater intelligence is continually coming into effect. This is true wisdom. All we have to do is to perform our everyday tasks in the “right” spirit. The fullness of the Godhead is present all the time and it is only our false attitudes and self-actions which prevents us from experiencing it. The list of these such attitudes is too well known for repeating here. A casual glance through any of the scriptures will answer this.
The prevailing troubles of mankind are the manifestations of his own creations. The conditions of suffering thrive on the selfish energies radiated by man himself and just as easily as he brought these forth – he can have the opposite by transforming himself. It is no use tackling the evils at the point of manifestation – that is by drugs, medicines, peace pacts, social readjustments etc. Man must begin to work upon himself because he is the cause and effect of all these things whether he believes it or not.
Man will always, it appears, accept anything which will not spoil his own way of thinking and believing – even to fantasy; but he runs away from the Truth because It breaks down falsities and man-made “realities” dissolve into nothingness. Even the truths that lie behind the pervading systems of religion, magic and other “seeking” systems are missed by the leaders of these systems. Just because some organisation is following a teaching gathered from books, or the scriptures, it does not follow that those seekers will find the truth. The answers lie within themselves.
“Golden eras” have arisen and fallen yet, in spite of man’s claim to wisdom, each generation has its wars and pestilences. Joy, pain and suffering takes on a different guise as the years roll by and still man remains a mystery to himself.
We have mentioned that man can only trace his history back to a few thousand years and many historians and archaeologists draw away from the idea that any “civilisation”, parallel with the one we have today ever existed. A “civilisation”, as generally understood, does not necessarily mean one with all the “scientific” gear of today but what we can say is that a very great civilisation did exist before the “mythical” Flood. Man, during that period, was not so steeped in what is called “materialism” or “godlessness” as a whole, but there were still the unruly ones. It was, in fact, this Flood, a spiritual one or a surge of new enlightenment like which takes places during the various cycles of man’s experiences. This Flood was a forerunner of the events of today and whatever one believes about the mythical Atlantis – this again as been used as an allegory to explain the kind of things which can happen when a new surge of energy from the Source comes forth. Something like this is happening right now in this period. What the outcome will be we will not discuss. The mankind of then is the mankind of now. When we look back through the pages of history we look back upon ourselves and sometimes the story is not pleasant. Man, it seems, takes a long time to learn his mistakes. There were those, however, which retained their high state of Godship and it is these ones who return from time to time to help bring mankind back to sanity – but, we are sorry to say, only a few take advantage of this opportunity at each time. These persons can remember all their experiences through the ages because they maintain what we will call a continuation of consciousness. This implies that man’s memory is not reliant upon brain cells but that consciousness is an unending state of activity. All that man has done is known within himself from the beginning. That which we call the Order of Melchisedek is the order to which these beings belong and when they come to teach humanity you can be sure of the Truth. These people come in the flesh in the normal way and are NOT the “guides” spoken of by psychic mediums. Any claims in this direction are false ones. During each generation a number of these people avail themselves of physical forms to be in readiness to receive the “prodigal sons”. If you investigate what we have said – without becoming credulous or tending to believe for the sake of believing – you will be able to prove what we say. This means that once again one of the oldest orders on this planet is reaching out again to a groping mankind.
There are three schools being run during this present period which are under the direction of great souls and as these schools are giving out the practical teaching for this age – the source from which you are receiving these talks is the one which is giving the actual teachings of the “heavenly”, or what you will have, aspect for the benefit of those who want to plunge deeply into hard work. These three schools constitute the threefold aspects of the Godhead now operating on this earth.
God is more pleased when we react against Him than against things in the world because He knows that that against which we react we finally fall victim to…..
