Most of the things which are being accepted, during this present period, as being normal traits of man are very far from normal and to accept them as such and to pander to them will result in a kind of madness. The old saying, which goes something like this, “That those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first drive mad” is no idle statement as the present growing tends indicate. Man must return to sanity before any kind of harmony can be experienced on this earth.
From our level we can see the amount of destruction that has been allowed to gather up and, believe us, this stands at a dangerous level in relation to conditions in the world. Unless this situation is brought under control many will suffer because they have brought it upon themselves. Who will take the first step to turn the tide? It can be turned because that which is being radiated from the Source is pure energy and by giving It the right channels the confusion that It brings into uncontrolled lives can be avoided. We cannot stay what humans choose but we can change many situations.
There are beliefs about an approaching era of peace or a new “golden age” – but, my friends, who are the ones who are going to be sharers in this new experience? It cannot, and will not, come to those who are not disciplined for as those who cannot live rightly now – they will not be suitable vehicles to express harmony then. To say that one has to “play out” his inhibitions etc., before peace can come, or stability, is another human excuse to enable him to evade the issue of taking himself in hand now. “Tomorrow” is always the excuse of the wayward ones.
There are those who have “crucified” themselves upon the “magical tree” and other similar systems and just as St. Paul had to relinquish his status of “Magus” to become a Priest of the Most High God, so too will all those who desire Perfection. There are those, also, who think that when the “Christ”, or other world teacher, appears He will return to the established churches – either a Roman Catholic, a Jehovah’s Witness, an Essene or something of that kind but this Christ does not belong to any organisation neither does He conform to any form of service devised by humans. His Church is the pure vehicles, or bodies, of those which live out the Divine Principles – and these are His Own to whom He, or the “New Teacher” will appear.
Perfect Wholeness is forever present – all we have to do is to act upon this great Truth. Because human bodies are the effects or modes of expression of facets of the consciousness of Man, it requires that control, or discipline, of the energies and forces playing out through these vehicles be absolutely necessary before harmony can be maintained in human affairs. Therefore what is classified as a “moral” life is a very basic quality necessary before any glimpse or experience of order in one’s life can be commenced. Whilst the Source is devoid of any so-called “morality”, as such, in the world of effects, moral standards represent the “farthest out” expression of any understanding of Cosmic Laws. He that ignores these facts is blind to the Reality and still is a child enjoying his fancy dreams.
Moses made the attempt to implement the basic requirements into the realm of humans by setting down the “Ten Commandments”. These, at first sight, appear to be quite crude but who can claim that these rules are part of one’s natural way of life? Who filches time from employer? Who sinks to petty pilfering and who demands his personal rights? Who commits adultery and takes God’s Name in vain? These are rudimentary laws to be observed and yet those who indulge in the breaking of them have the audacity to declare their desire to understand the deeper mysteries of life. In truth they never can – it is only they, themselves, who are being deceived.
If a person cannot live at peace in his own home or with his neighbour, honour promises, control his desires then there is no order in his life and he stands no chance whatever of achieving it until he turns to the right source of harmony. It is no use praying for peace if one cannot understand what peace is – neither can one receive health within the body whilst at the same time reacting and responding to the effects which allow for these experiences. Divine Law will not bend to anyone for It cannot operate any differently from how the Creator programmed It. Crying “ill – luck”, God’s punishment or the “Law of Karma” just will not work as excuses to avoid the Truth.
The present quick “advancements” in the fields of technology, medicine and travel are approaching their perimeter and soon the bubble will burst as all such effects must. For those interested in prophecy we refer them to see how the reference made in St. Matthew, Chap.24, verses 26-28, could have bearing on the recent moon landing. On the one hand this could represent man’s far seeking into materialism (he cries for the stars) forgetting that his true search is deep within himself.
Because of the lack of numbers of suitable vehicles for the new waves issuing from the source this vital energy is largely in an undifferentiated state and because it is not being used for a specific end by people on the Earth It is making Its presence felt by impinging upon the many uncontrolled lives and throwing them into confusion. This is behind the seeming unpleasant effects appearing in the world today. This power needs responsible people to become proper vehicles, so that change can take place harmoniously. If this does not happen then humans will experience the same sense of separation again during this next cycle just the same as they have during the last cycle when it was possible to have had Christ’s expression fulfilled to the present day. It is because of the rejection of His teaching that the Christ Cycle did not become manifest, as it should have, in the world of effects and only individuals who lived it out benefited. This could happen again which would be a sad thing – for only the prepared ones will enjoy and the masses continue to suffer. If people would accept the situation as it now stands it is possible for anyone to experience the fullness of their Inner Reality by by-passing the former laid-down rules by following the way we teach.
The same rule about giving up all to follow the Truth does, however, exist. One has to absolutely reverse his way of thinking and acting. There is no mock humility in this action for it requires great courage and sincerity to do. It is not the action of a weak-willed person but rather that of a person strong in the Love of God.
St. Paul could have written “…For in the Divine Reality we live, move and have our being”. There is a prayer which goes something like this “…. Where there is hatred let us sow love. Where there is strife let us sow peace”. But really this Love and Peace has already been sown. We are saturated with them. Beauty, Harmony and Wholeness are the Realities that exist. The opposites are the conflicting falsities speculated upon by misguided man.
You may well ask “It is all very well to say this when there is terrible suffering abroad in the world. Robbery and violence, murder and starvation. How can one see these as unreal? Can one stay the hand of the robber – or stop the bullet from a gun? How do these things affect me now since conditions seem overpowered by them?”.
Friends, since you are aware of them and accept them and respond to these things, so will you see them as realities in your world of experiences; but should you reverse your attitude and accept and respond to that which is truly the Reality then these things will cease to have any power over you and they fade away into a meaningless jumble, lacking power and truth.
Man dwells continually in the Perfect Reality and since we continually get change in our realm of effects, each change can bring a joyful and harmonious experience. We react to situations because we fear the consequences and lack the faith in that which provides for us all – thus we build one catastrophe after another.
Remaining calm and resolute in faith in our Great Parent, or Host, we allow each experience to flow forth just as a woman that finds joy in her labour knowing that her fulfilment is near. The brief pain is forgotten as she clasps her offspring. So it is, in the knowledge of truth, we allow each moment to come forth expectantly and in joy. Living in confidence and power. Joyously proclaiming the all-presence of God (the indwelling life) which is continually building anew and revealing new thoughts and interesting pursuits. We gravitate to situations requiring our presence to witness the invisible power at work – even in the lives of those who believe not and are disobedient children. This Love is showered on all. Revealed in all whether they are aware of it or not. It serves those who would rob his neighbour or murder his brother and – knowing not the truth they experience a sense of separation by their own actions. It is as if they had drawn down a veil over their own eyes to obscure the Love which appears
too deep for them to understand.
Knowing all these things the Priest of Melchisedek is patient in waiting – he sees what is taking place and his very presence conveys
compassion to his brother.
The Reality exists in an all-present state. One could liken the senses to a tiny window through which one is trying to get a
correct view of a vast panorama.
