Inner Sanctuary Teachings ~ The Quest for Truth

Because the Gnosis is based upon the way things are, it must follow that all ‘systems’ or ‘techniques’ used in individual development must follow natural laws. These laws or modes were known by the priests of ancient Egypt, the Solar religions of South America and later by the “Gnostics” during the early Christian era. One can prove this by noting that the Hermetic Teachings were followed by the priests in the early church. There were two streams in the early church – the Jewish Christians which knew the Cabalistic meanings of the Torah and the ‘Gentile’ Church which followed the synthesised teachings of that day. In the New Testament accounts, it is indicated that Jeshu was aware of the inner mysteries because he accused the lawyers of keeping them from the people; he also taught the public in parables but gave his disciples the straight teachings.

The fact that Jeshu very often stayed up ‘praying’, sometimes in the ‘garden’, indicates to Solar Initiates that he was associated with, and had knowledge of, the Solar Doctrines. We know that many of the ancient rituals were arranged to coincide with the periods of full Moon and this practice is still prevalent today. Because the Moon is associated with the Feminine aspects of Deity, it could be said that whilst a strong Masculine front was kept up, the feminine influences were received during the full-moon festivals. Also, because of the lack of equilibrium in the male dominated orders, they failed to know that a balanced teaching is contained in the Solar (Sun) area itself. Because the Inner Solar Mysteries are taught only to special pupils there is little known about them, neither can any books be obtained which deal with the subject, although some of the secrets are now being discovered by physicists and secret orders which have recently been formed.

Energy from the Sun, being the substance of which we are all made, can be directed within the human organism to step up human receptivity of higher frequency experiences.

In the Jeshu teachings, we are informed that “the Light of the body is in the eye.” It is through the eyes we take in Light waves in order to interpret the physical world but other parts of the body are also sensitive to this Light. Light is the carrier wave of all the other frequencies: this was noticed by the ‘ancients’ who considered Light to be the Supreme Power. This is true inasmuch as without this solar Energy we could not exist.

Thus we have a Light which gives a world of outward experiences of the Cause of the outer worlds. Actually it is one and the same Light but as it appears to function in two different ways, pulses and waves, it really is the One expressing Itself in its dual nature. Unless we can understand the Dual Nature correctly we will fall short in overcoming our difficulties. Learning to understand the Dual Nature of the Life Energy has proved difficult to some of our students whose thinking has been programmed by a masculine dominated society and a false impression of femininity has been accepted.

Femininity is interpreted by its Source function of Wisdom. The Holy Spirit in the Hebrew Mystery Religion was considered the feminine force and in the majority of mystery religions, Sophia was considered dominant.

If one reads the Song of Solomon in the Old Testament and in the Apocrypha the importance given to Wisdom is prevalent. Thus Love being Male, as we explain in detail by demonstration, Wisdom is definitely female and if one lacks a balance of the two, he or she, will run into crystallisations of human suppositions. The union of Love (Agape) and Wisdom (Sophia) is the mystic marriage and final bonding in the higher mysteries, and the ecstasy of the mystics and spiritual masters is found in the pure spiritual experience of Divine Intercourse – the two becoming one. This ultimate union would, firstly, appear as the Divine Androgyne, which with further merging, results as a complete syzygy emanating two primary energies like a Sun. This knowledge constitutes the basic doctrines of the Solar Mysteries. The ‘know how’ or modus operandi of the “Way” is taught to persons who give up everything to receive this knowledge or Inner Gnosis. This knowledge is the same knowledge which was known by the priests of ancient Egypt, China, India and South America, not forgetting the primary mystery centres in Great Britain which have survived the “length of time” and are still in existence. To discover them, one must have fulfilled the requirements in their daily living before they can discover the initiators. In truth the real Mystery Schools and Teachings have never been absent even though book researchers have been unable to trace them. It is because they are genuinely ‘Hidden’ that they are known only to those who find them. This ‘inner’ knowledge became known as the Gnosis in the Mystery Schools and was also taught in the Spiritual Disciplines of the early church.

Because the special nature of the True Gnosis is not to be found merely by reading scriptures, performing religious rites or any other magical operation, meditation or any other predetermined act. These indulgences help us to bring it into focus but do not affect it in any way. Because of its profound transcendental nature one needs to quieten all mortal ways of thinking to enable It to descend into Its own elements. The Bodhisattvas of the East are aware of this, so they spend much time in calming the mind in order that the “outer world” cannot prevent the experience of the One from taking place. One can see then that the rites and ceremonies of Masses, Eucharists, and humanly manipulated operations cannot give the experience of the Divine Reality – they only give the experience of the physical energies at the perimeter of the Divine Outworking.

The True Gnosis then is mainly concerned with the experience of the Divine Reality and this is attainable by both men and women as It is not affected by either: It is beyond sexuality. One needs to pass beyond his or her sexuality to properly experience That which contains the All. Also, because of the Universality or Cosmic Nature of the Gnosis, one can use the symbols of any of the world religions to define it. There is only One Truth and only One Reality, no matter in what religion, group or school it is taught and there is one way alone in which it can be understood. The way to It transcends all religions and groups. The beauty of all this explanation is that at the end of all our describing and explanations, the truth is that the Divine Reality can be experienced by those who tread the hard way to becoming one with It. It is because of this fact that the great teachers made great sacrifices to lead the way for others.

Because of the naturalness of the inner teachings it is better to go out and commune with nature actual than to sit and visualise it in the mind only. The real essence is in the things themselves.
When the Gnosis is understood and practiced through only one religious system, it becomes an outer form of Gnosis or a Gnosis gleaned through one avenue with its appended practices. For example, in the ‘Christian Gnosis,’ those following this discipline tend to become so fixed on their own techniques, that the followers assume that the central act of the Mass or Eucharist is the only valid method of “invoking Christ”. As long as they believe this they will be limited to their own programming. The ‘Inner’ or True Gnosis is gained when one achieves complete ‘God guidance’ by total submission to the Christ Light within and remains intact and non-reliant on external religious practices, a complete and free ‘Child of God.’ What we have indicated is that there can be an error in considering it to be the true way if one simply follows the outward form of the Gnostic teachings – that is by enacting ‘Gnostic’ rituals and reading ‘Gnostic’ scriptures or literature – this does not constitute true knowledge. True Gnosis begins when we bring the teachings to bear on the final submission to the requirements of purity and in transcending the distracting faculties of the human phase of mind: the process of overcoming the lower psychic and physical desires of the ego. Like any other form of spiritual quest, the letter of the gnosis is not The Gnosis.

The word “channelling” is a term now used widely within the New Age teachings because the method appears quite respectable and of some importance; however it still indicates some kind of ‘mediumship’ or ‘being a channel’ for some recognisable entity, which has not yet overcome the desire for presenting the Light at a personality level. The whole activity is based upon the assumption that some of the characters actually exist. We can prove to our students that much of this ‘channelling’ is based totally on the desire for an ‘ego trip’ and there is too much importance given to their personalities, of both ‘channel’ and the entity being ‘channelled.’ Our advice to students is to avoid such practices. One can gain inspired knowledge or information direct from source and in no way is a secondary party considered valid.

By now the student of the Gnosis should be awakening to the fact that the Gnosis, or Inner Knowledge, is not in the words or lectures them-selves. The truth of the matter is in the realisation of the futility of knowing facts, and in being a natural and self-expressive individual: the Gnosis is not in the knowing about it but, as has frequently been pointed out, is in the living it out in everything we do.

Furthermore, in presenting a “new” approach to Priesthood we present the idea of every person as a priest in their own right and the Church, Ekklesia or Order then becomes a fellowship wherein people can meet and share their interests; in fact the Real Truth has nothing to do with religion or any other system.

Everyone who is engaged in the enlightenment of humanity is a priest – whether or not they have been through an act of ordination. The True Priest is the one who follows the Way of Truth as it IS.

The dictionary describes a priest as “a person ordained to act as a mediator between God and man, to administer the sacraments, etc.” From the point of view of the Inner Knowledge all people are, because they are here, mediators between that which is called “God” and mankind which is a whole and complete organism within the Cosmic frame of reference.

The teaching is that people are the Cosmic Mind at this level. Gnosis includes all the terminologies used to dispense the teachings based upon Cosmic Truths to mankind. We should not run away with the idea that the word or term, ‘Gnosis’ is the only word used to denote the ‘teaching’. We even need to consider the possibility of the non-existence of a God.

We study together to enlighten ourselves on these matters and as a disciple or a teacher we maintain the knowledge of Cosmic Truths bodily for our own personal spiritual awareness. We are then in position to help others discover their own contact with the Divinity within. As long as we leave others free to be free, then we discover our own freedom. Any attribute is gained as we allow it to function within our self. It is no use praying for love and understanding if we do not allow them to emanate as they move within us – we cannot immediately come into possession of any spiritual attribute without the practice of doing it. We can only have what we are – or as Jesus puts it, “As a man thinketh in his heart, that he already is,” and he also pointed out that we reap only what we sow. This works both ways – for good or ill.

Priesthood is not, as they say, “sexist” because it does not relate to any gender; neither can it. The idea of a masculine dominated priesthood without the feminine influence gives only an unbalanced experience of the calling.
There are records that Lady Abbesses existed in the early church in Britain and one such lady, St. Bride, is reported to have trained 5 Bishops. This indicates that her spiritual qualities were, we would say, equal to that of a Bishop. Also, who are men to say that the Divine Parent gives more blessings to men than women? The teaching given that the Christ Consciousness is accessible more through a man than a woman shows an ignorance of spiritual law. The fact that it is the blood of the mother that one receives at birth should cause one to ponder on the question – whence the blood of Christ?

Another interesting fact that the Gospels record is that Mary Magdalene was the first person to whom Jesus proved his resurrection or state of rising above human “weakness.” Initiate Priests will see here the allegory that without delicately balancing his feminine quality he could not have achieved resurrection. Neither can the “Ascension” be achieved without the fusion of masculine and feminine Cosmic energies. These energies are naturally within both genders in the whole of humanity.

The difference between a dedicated priest and the people at large is that a priest’s life is devoted entirely to the study of the nature of the Universal Mind, God, and how best the greater awareness of It can be achieved; whereas the person engaged in a casual interest grows mainly by trial and error. The Priest, however, is taught the ‘dangers’ of following erroneous fields of pursuit and how the ‘mortal’ area of consciousness is apt to misinterpret the myths and guidelines for personal emancipation.

In practice there are two types of people: those who are not aware of their spiritual nature and those whose life is devoted to seeking to understand what is true about life. The first type are the worldly ones who seek after the things which lead to material comfort for the satisfaction of basic desires and they also react to any suggestion of change. Then there are those who seek to find how they can become mature people and be of service within the natural scheme of things. Jesus called the first type the ‘dead’ or ‘asleep’ and the others the ‘awakened’ or ‘elect.’ We should always bear in mind that the two types follow entirely different standards and there is no compromise between the two. The first type follow after the transient and illusory forms and the awakened follow after that which is real and permanent.

Religion when understood correctly should provide the right guidance to help those awakening from their sleep, or death, into the real and permanent state. However, when a religion becomes crystallised it remains in the illusion itself and is in no position to provide genuine help. Religion should act as the door to Reality, but how often does this remain closed because of the failure to understand Cosmic Laws?

To help our selves over the barrier of our animal nature to enflame the Divine Spark within us, we need to discipline our selves in such a way that we do not react or respond to stimuli from outside of our selves. We need to control our conditions, which at present hold us in bondage. A complete change of values and living philosophy needs to be brought into being before we can become free. The laws within materialism hold no validity in the realm of Spirit or Divine Mind, so we can no more seek to possess wealth, people or things. We can no more follow after pursuits that satisfy our own personal desires, neither can we make a pact with God nor ‘fix it’ through priests or teachers. The Laws of the Cosmos appear completely alien to the rules existing in a materialistic society and we therefore have to become purified on the Cosmic Law’s terms and not on ours.

We need to learn that the world of Reality is what It Is and in this world all is perfect harmony. All Life exists in a state of Perfection and Harmony and is At One with the Source of All Being. The only way to know this is to accept this Truth and live at one with It. No matter what one does one cannot change It – it is ourselves who need to change. Meditate on the fact that you now live in a Perfect State. Nothing can die, change or be affected in any way because there are no opposite forces in existence to influence a change. We deal with energies and forces and not in things and personalities. Once you get hooked on personality or things you are back in the illusion. This rule applies also in the attachment to the teacher or elder brother and sister. It is only in becoming free that you can learn the lesson of Compassion.

Try to remember always that everything you see out there in the world of effects, in HUMAN OUTWORKING – the joys, pains, institutions, healing and social systems, the media and the legion of social standards – are all the projections of the human images of life. The mass of humanity is concerned with possession, sexuality, politics and what they are getting out of it all, and thus the effects reflect their desires.

Then there are the few who can see through all the false and illusory standards and try to bring order and harmony into their lives. This can be achieved by living and acting in accordance with a philosophy or teaching that is entirely opposed to the worldly philosophies and standards, which are accepted by those who benefit by exploitation of these materialistic standards. It is to the few that the inner secrets of life are revealed.

The Priesthood within the Hidden Church of the Illuminati is totally different from the priesthood existing in the institutionalised religions, owing to the fact that these religions have created dogmas and practices which cannot be proved by a careful study of the Scriptures they follow. Therefore the teachings of the Inner Priesthood remain esoteric, as they always have been.

An American researcher wrote to us a short time ago explaining that the Degree Rituals of the Order of the Illuminati had come into his possession but he could not trace the higher three degrees. We explained that the reason for his failure is that John Yarker, Jnr. did not pass them on, and neither would he pass them on, to the existing Masonic Lodges because they had changed the details of the true mythos to the legend of Hiram Abiff.

Furthermore, the higher degrees are only to be found in the Inner Priesthood thereby perpetuating the traditions that the Real Mysteries are always in the hands of a valid Priesthood – as in Ancient Egypt, Greece and amongst most of the more primitive Shaman priests. Exoterically the three degrees of Priesthood are shown as Deacon, Priest and Bishop – the Bishop acting as Hierophant.
