In our search for the Real Truth, and not in an humanly construed idea of it, we come across several anomalies with regard to what we should do and what we should not do. For example the late Richard, Duc de Palatine writes in his Monograph No. 22 for his Brotherhood and Order of the Pleroma that:- “In our last Monograph to you, we discussed how your body is a mass of various vibrations which are blended together to make up several vehicles and how any disturbance in the mind will cause a corresponding disturbance in the subtle vestures manifesting in the mortal body. We have stressed the importance for you to be in perfect health before you can allow US to enter the confines of your human temple. This was demonstrated in the case of Krishnaji. Those who were responsible for him overlooked the fact that his spine had been injured in his youth and when your Lord the Christ tried on three occasions to use the body, it was difficult for the body to withstand the high-powered vibrations of the Christ, so in 1928, the Christ manifested no more within that body. We will leave this to the student to ponder upon “. This is our first example of a very important anomaly.

There are also many others in the field of ‘spiritual’ training that are apt to confuse the issue for up coming students. Especially in the field of sexual experience for those embarking upon a journey toward adeptship. One ‘Master’ like K H, e.g, says that one should become a celibate to succeed and another like the Master ‘Serapis’ says that this does not affect the process – so who or whom do we believe? “Then there is the letter of the Master Serapis to Col. Olcott:—

“Know, O brother mine, that where a truly, spiritual love seeks to consolidate itself doubly by a pure permanent union of the two, in its earthly sense, it commits no sin, no crime in the eyes of the great Ain-Soph, for it is but the divine repetition of the Male and Female Principles the microcosmal reflection of the first condition of Creation. On such a union angels may well smile.” [Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom, II, 51]

So what do all these questions mean and are they true? And does our health situation really hinder us? Questions, questions, questions. Taking a look at the line in the above verses we read, “the Christ manifested no more within that body” – we say how can any mortal know? That which, or whom, we come to know as the ‘Christ’ is an anomaly in itself for this is not a person or a being as humans understand it. The old adage that man has made God in his own image instead of it being the other way round is, in many cases, a fact. Humans tend to create an image of the Divine Principle and try to fit it into a human concept – that is what has happened to the Christian Church – humans have great difficulty in relating The Cosmic Intelligence from, firstly, as an abstract subject to be discovered with its relationship with the sentient life on this planet. This is where most of the western, or European spiritual schools, have missed out. The Christ does not ‘enter’ us like a foot is pushed down into a sock! We are a ‘fragment’, or facet, of that which is – so it is within us anyway.

The European ‘esoteric’, or supposed initiatory orders do not possess the genuine secrets for living as is imagined for these reasons. What we really have at this time is an Order of Freemasonry of which its original teachings have been misrepresented, and reorganised, by certain members around the 16 -17th century changing their ‘mysteries’ for fear of persecution by the establishment. The present orders and brotherhoods of the Western Tradition have never received the true keys to the inner mysteries. Another talk will be given about this. Unless we can come to learn, from scratch, the foundations upon which genuine Truth is to be found we will never reach enlightenment or illumination or find our way to the ‘Christ’ Consciousness as is envisaged by most aspiring students of the mysteries. In the Reality of things that are there are no anomalies of the things that are up to question – only with relation to the student’s desire for being corrected.

Let us begin to find out what is true and what is mere belief. Most students love to study charts and other methods for depicting the ‘state of things’. Here is one way presented by the Duc de Palatine:-
“Thus, the Undivided Life of God manifests and uses the seven modes of expression, and we call these regions of life as:
Divine ) The Monad or Spirit of Man
Spiritual )
Monadic )
Christos ) The Christos or Divine Soul
Mental )
Emotional ) The Personality or I.N.R.I., which
Physical ) includes the vital double.
It will now be seen that the Spiritual Self is divided into three aspects, viz: The Divine, the region of the Blessed Trinity; the Spiritual, the region of the Spirit of Man; and the higher levels of the Monadic.

The Soul Vesture is composed of the three lower levels of the Monadic, the Christos – the Ego; and the higher mental body. It is this aspect of man which survives the death of each personality.

The personality, which is composed of four aspects: the body physical, the duplicate or the phantom; the emotional and the lower mental body, or the objective mental region. The personality disintegrates after the Soul has withdrawn his principles.” (Monograph No.2.)

We should not begin to confuse ourselves with this graphical portrayal because it is only a way of trying to show how it works. Starting with the Whole and Complete Godhead we see that the completeness of revealed creation is the outpouring or emanation of living energies from the Source. That everything is immersed in a sea of life energy (like fish in the sea) that becomes manifested at our level as myriads of life-forms. The inherent patterns for the varieties of creatures and other life forms – trees, all elemental life are decided at Source as to what is the outward form – meaning that every living thing relies upon the invisible archetype in the Consciousness of the Creator God therefore all the ‘parts’ we see are separate only in activity and for the experience to the Universal Soul to experience Its own fullness of life. That we, as humans, and all other forms of life are the one expression of THE LIFE that LIVES ITSELF IN AND THROUGH us – that we all make up the One and COMPLETE life of the ONE ‘GOD’ – that is why ‘God’ revealed his name to ‘Moses’ as ‘I AM’ for when we say I am of ourselves we are really that which is for of ourselves as mortals we can do nothing.

In the chart then we are like many different forms of life living in an atmosphere of what we need to live by, but in reality we are living WITHIN the MIND of the God that we make images of. We are not actually divided into ‘parts’. Therefore, the Godhead in all of its levels are forever present – including that level of development we call ‘The Christos’ – which is, from a Teacher’s point of view, a graphical way of explaining the ‘stepping stones’ of the evolutionary process of awakening to ourselves or that which we really are. So whatever level of growth one believes he or she is at we are always complete in ourselves, but not yet awakened to the truth.. Returning to the incident mentioned by the Duc in the first paragraphs the gentleman in question must always have this Perfect Archetype, called ‘The Christ or Christos within him. This Christos is not a being or something apart from ourselves, but a quality that is not yet resolved by the junior students of life. The ‘material’ explanation is that it’s all ‘in our genes’! A good example for students today is Professor Steven Hawkins that in spite of all his limits he excels in his profession.

As regards to the question of ‘sex’, a misused word, this creative quality is also inbuilt in every creature on this planet so if we were perceived or conceived like that it is a matter of how we conduct ourselves with relation to it. The creative principle that is available to us can be used in many ways for it is an energy that determines our evolvement of experience or use by the Godhead. ‘Masters of Wisdom’ use it for acquiring the ability to be used for higher purpose by the God Within Us. This shows that celibacy is not the key to enlightenment or Illumination – it is the right use of it. Being as it is a creative thing we can become great artists, great musicians or anything we chose provided we obey the Divine Laws of purity in all things. The right use of this quality is essential to acquire ‘Christhood’ or Boddhisatva-ship when we are fit to undertake the task. This thing called ‘sex’ can be misused, as it generally is, and it can bring upon ourselves many diseases for if we adulterate it – that is – having many mates at once we adulterate our basic qualities and render ourselves open to the destructive forces on the planet.

In this short talk we hope to have conveyed some answers for those coming across these questions that often arise in our journey towards self-awakening. We should work to cultivate the sense of discrimination, and then we should be able to distinguish fact from fiction. The best way to keep our feet on the right way is to continually affirm the allness and completeness of the Godhead within you and all of your experiences – it is an all-present life and power – all shortcomings are in the mind only, and not real. “To the pure, all things are Pure” Jeshua.
