However, you will never be entirely alone because you will become bonded in a fellowship wherein help is always at hand. We cannot tell you more at this stage as the needs of each student varies and as the process is a very personal one, you cannot judge by another’s experiences.

To change the train of thought, let us refer you to some more interesting facts. The Old Testament is a compilation of stories which have been drawn from many sources and it is certain that the religion of Israel has adapted these to suit its own particular needs. The Christian religion also has its doctrines based upon much older ones which can be proved if one takes the time to search through the ancient manuscripts. The much older “Book of the Dead” is not really a collection of funerary rites but rather they refer to the one already in the flesh – it is he who is now in a state of death and has to seek release from the clutches of this underworld to find himself at one with RA. In chapter 64, of this work, one can find such references as : “Hail Lord of the Shrine which stands in the middle of the earth….” and “Come thou who dwells above thy divine abyss of water…..” Herein indicates the hints to the underlying principles which contain the reference to the “higher teaching” of our Order.

Examine Psalm 104 in the Old Testament, you will see a parallel to the well-known Hymn to RA.

Christians claim that Jesus instituted the Holy Communion – but were not offerings of “ale and cake” made in the Temple of Ptah at Memphis? Ptah is recognised by the shepherd’s crook which he carries, or crozier, another emblem which is carried by Christian bishops even to this day.

The name “Moses” is also an ancient Egyptian name meaning “is born” and can be found in such names as “Thutmose” – born of Thoth. The word “Hebrew” is the Egyptian reference to the immigrant or “habiru”.

The Ark in which Uta-Napishtim survived the Flood, as mentioned in the old Babylonian tablets, was constructed in the form of a perfect Cube with seven layers each divided into seven compartments. A most interesting allegory which many students will realise.

Returning once again to my personal story I remember travelling through many spheres – some of which were very strange to me. In some of the more unusual

places the inhabitants were surprised to see me; whilst in others I was just accepted normally. Two instances, I recall, when I was addressing a small group, another part of my work; the conditions which had been set up by the group were so intolerable that I was compelled to make a quick departure. So it is on this earth – where the mental atmosphere is very gross I can only display the conditions of an ordinary human to those present. It is within my power to cause much disturbance under these conditions but because of my real nature I veil the truth about myself thus avoiding a situation wherein another’s mental condition would be disturbed.

In the recent past I have suffered with the victims of the strange religions of the South Americas; given protection to fugitives from persecution in Egypt; guided and helped sincere groups who practiced outmoded rituals, by correcting their manuscripts. Mainly, the work of our Order is to help raise the standards of existing systems by radiating interpretations of the out-going energies from the Source – thus, a kind of continual purification is going on. You will, perhaps, ask. “Why don’t you refer more to the eastern systems of religion?”. The situation is this – that, in the past, the present western systems stemmed from the east, which has a much older tradition. As these systems are now losing their effectiveness through the removal of the “higher lodges” to the western hemisphere, from where the new impulses will start, it is of little help to study or apply them further. Another fact is that the Main Spiritual Centre (or call it what you will) has recently moved which means that certain physical changes will take place on the surface of the Earth – shortly – another kind of recurrence of the “Flood”. The result of this being that most of the existing traditional teachings regarding “man and his spiritual quest” will lose their effectiveness in order to give way to the new impulses now operating. Traditions must fade, old rituals and ceremonies must change and be adapted to the new wider scheme of things and this is where our work lies.

There are many claims as to where this “new spiritual Centre of the Earth” is placed geographically; but let the sincere student judge for himself. On the one hand there is a group actually operating whose leaders actually call themselves “Masters”; but listen to what we have to say. A “spiritual” focal point on this earth is determined by the inhabitants themselves. Therefore, such focal points are not really to be located within the time and space factor and are “experienced” within the sensual limits when a person is attuned. Wherever the Source is in direct contact with Its agents there the Hierarchy is focussed. This does not necessarily consist of a building or sanctuary; but rather the condition depends upon human vehicles themselves. Oft-times persons have a genuine “spiritual” experience in full waking consciousness in the most unusual places. When a person claims to sense “vibrations” in certain places he is, more often than not, merely subject to past associations with these particular places. Also, that which we maintain to be

genuinely “spiritual” has nothing to do with sense impressions or “psychic” experiences. Thus, a “spiritual centre” is determined by the local presence of the agent operating from the Inner Lodges. From what we gather from our human contacts, when they are en rapport with us they experience certain physical changes when within our vicinity or presence.

We of the Order of Melchisedek stand apart from all known organisations, churches, groups or societies. We do not identify ourselves with one side or another. We are neither “black” or “white”, “good” or “evil”. Wherever the real need is for our help – there will we be. We judge no man because all men are their own judges and all humans are subject to Cosmic Law. We remain, always, in our own position until the end of days – quietly watching and reaching out a helping hand to the one who releases himself from his “tomb of flesh” or the shackles of his senses.

I, Elade, am a Master if you care to call me this. I am an Adept if you view my works. In truth I can be anything you care to call me – a vagabond, a rogue, a prince – or a Priest of Melchisedek! What of a label? A theory? A term? I am he with the all seeing eye which sees and knows all things which are necessary for me to know and deal with. Your highest magic I can dispense, your divinations confound. In all your works I am present and all your desires I feel and I know your ways. I radiate the summit of your ideals and the nature of your Reality. I might be your Teacher, your task-master or your adversary. Only you can answer these questions. What is the good for me to tell you? Whatever I can reveal to you is the result of your own self-stripping. I give you nothing save the findings achieved by yourself and the help to consummate your union with the Divine.

In the flesh I am subject to the same conditions as you. In the flesh I have to maintain my true purpose here. I laugh with you and shed a tear of joy when a student sees the “light”. As a human I work for money to buy material comforts and as an agent for the Light I live as an embodiment of the Reality.

In my own sphere there is a very large Temple situated, on a hill, towards the north side of the City near to where I live and in which I occasionally officiate. Sometimes we receive candidates from this human plane who come to receive knowledge which will help them. Some can remember this experience and some cannot – according to what their state of awareness of these things is.

Consciousness, as we know it, is not an effect of movement; neither is it an effect. It is the actual nature of the unborn in activity. I am still conscious even without a vehicle to be conscious in or of. To describe this state is very difficult in words and really needs to be experienced. One is like in a state of powerful pulsating “nothingness”. No form, no colour and no activity. One is vividly aware of the nature of ones-self and the presence of ones-self – yet without any sense of

creation. As soon as one thinks, or wills, a stream of energy takes form either in colour or shape and that which your experts call “consciousness” begins. My realm of consciousness reaches from the very stillness Itself to the most active sphere of manifestation because I am the Whole and the Whole is contained within me.

This world of yours is really no more solid to you than my own world is solid to me. It is the very nature of thought to take on form and these forms are only as real as we make them. You see, that according to your mass thoughts, to put it simply, you have built up a world according to your own standards. This is a manifestation of your own inherent powers. Whatever the state of the mass consciousness is in a particular realm so will the conditions and experiences be. My own sphere is a world free from pain, wars and strife because it is a reflection of the mass consciousness of the dwellers in our realm and we have come here to explain how your world can become the same.

Many humans look forward to the day when they can be released from the flesh by what they call death. They believe that their heaven is in the future. My friends – this “kingdom of heaven” you speak of is now pulsating within you waiting to be spilled forth abundantly into all your affairs. Only you can let it through. It overshadows you and permeates all. You are already a beautiful and pure being untouched by the ugly things which you experience through the senses. Awake to this. Accept it and live out this Truth – then the kingdom of heaven becomes real to you here and now in the flesh. The physical body is really meant to be a beautiful temple – not a prison wherein you are placed for wrong-doing. Although this physical world is often referred to as hell and the underworld it is only because you have made it so and to wish for a cessation of incarnation or release from the body is really forgetting the true purpose of life.
